Scripta Manent

I am pleased to announce the opening of a new fanlisting, focused on the subject of quotes—conceived as both an archival and aesthetic exercise. The subject felt well suited to the botanical linework style, which I've been wanting to use in a more deliberate and restrained way. Its clean lines and organic structure pair naturally with quotation, preserving language in a clear, distilled form.
  1. Scripta Manent - In developing this listing, my intention was to pursue a minimalist design philosophy without sacrificing visual interest. The layout privileges negative space and typographic balance, allowing the quoted material to remain central while maintaining an understated sense of elegance.
Those who are drawn to the collection, interpretation, or quiet appreciation of quotations—across literature, media, or personal reflection—are warmly encouraged to join. This fanlisting is meant to function as a shared repository of resonant language, curated through simplicity and intention.

Colors of the Wind

Owing to last month's domain transitions within our web cliques, as well as my increased focus on backend development, I decided to apply for another fanlisting subject, as I found myself missing the creative process of designing layouts.
  1. Pocahontas - A few days ago, I sat down with the PSD file open in Photoshop, attempting to produce something meaningful, but I simply could not make the composition work. I ultimately discarded the layout twice before redesigning a substantial portion of it, as I remained dissatisfied with its appearance. After reviewing numerous images in an effort to capture the concept I envisioned, I believe I have finally assembled the elements into a coherent whole.
Designing Anew - Invidia
This afternoon, I began developing a new design for Invidia for the first time in more than nine years. Earlier in the day, I spent some time browsing the Layout Archive to reacquaint myself with my previous work. In reviewing those earlier designs, I was reminded of how much I appreciate the simplicity of the one-page-layout format, and I would like to revive aspects of that approach when I relaunch the site. My intention is to prioritize simplicity and to incorporate elements that will demand less maintenance overtime.

Master of Action

Good day, everyone. I am pleased to share my final update for the month as I prepare to begin the new position mentioned in my previous post. I am delighted to announce that the Jackie Chan fanlisting has been approved and is now live. If you are a fan of this legendary actor, you are welcome to join and show your support.
  1. Jackie Chan – I genuinely enjoyed creating this design. I selected a palette of earthy tones, including deep greens, browns, taupes, and creams, and incorporated natural textures through background images and design elements. The subtle greens complement the paper accents, stone textures, and organic imagery. I chose a simple, elegant layout to evoke a sense of warmth and authenticity.
Future Updates
Cerine and I have also had several discussions about launching one or two new sites and are considering the possibility of consolidating similar projects into a single domain. Grouping related projects under one site could simplify management and improve organization. However, this idea is still under review, as we are mindful of domain expenses; these can accumulate quickly when managing multiple sites, particularly if their level of activity is uncertain. A final decision is expected to be announced in early 2026, so please stay tuned for updates.
