Colors of the Wind

Owing to last month's domain transitions within our web cliques, as well as my increased focus on backend development, I decided to apply for another fanlisting subject, as I found myself missing the creative process of designing layouts.
This afternoon, I began developing a new design for Invidia for the first time in more than nine years. Earlier in the day, I spent some time browsing the Layout Archive to reacquaint myself with my previous work. In reviewing those earlier designs, I was reminded of how much I appreciate the simplicity of the one-page-layout format, and I would like to revive aspects of that approach when I relaunch the site. My intention is to prioritize simplicity and to incorporate elements that will demand less maintenance overtime.

I ultimately discarded the layout twice before redesigning a substantial portion of it, as I remained dissatisfied with its appearance. After reviewing numerous images in an effort to capture the concept I envisioned, I believe I have finally assembled the elements into a coherent whole.
