Bubblelicious & Clique Updates

A somewhat overdue update, but I had actually opened a boba clique a few months ago. I held off on mentioning it because I wasn't particularly satisfied with the previous design and wanted to refine it before giving it a proper update. If you're fond of boba or bubble tea, feel free to join the Bubblelicious clique.

Aquarel.nu — Network Updates
I've also been working on a few things behind the scenes for Aquarel. I've coded our own tooltip script, Lumina, which I'll be gradually rolling out across the Celestial Oracle Studio to replace the former qTip system. Having our own implementation gives us more flexibility and lets the interface feel more distinctly ours. I've also created Copia, a copy-and-paste script that replaces manually highlighting code in a textarea with a simple button. One click copies the code instantly, making the process considerably cleaner. We've also streamlined the rules so they're concise, readable, and easier to take in. The idea is to provide the necessary information without making the rules feel like an obstacle before someone can join.

These are small changes, but I think they're worthwhile for making our cliques feel more unique and distinctive rather than seeing the same conventions found elsewhere.

Development Update

A small update, but something worth noting on. I took a step back to expand Aquarel by adding more cliques to strengthen the site's historical archive. With this update, the clique directory now includes over 300 active cliques dated since Aquarel's debut, making the collection more complete and preserving a larger portion of its history.

In addition to the archive expansion, I completed a responsive redesign of the site. Aquarel is now (and if not, our very first site throughout our entire network) fully compatible across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, providing a more consistent and accessible experience regardless of screen size.

Where Colors Meet

We've opened a new wing within Aquarel, a directory devoted to web cliques we've encountered and quietly admired.

Aquarel speaks to watercolor: pigment meeting water, edges softening, colors blending into one another without losing their character. This extension follows that same spirit. It began as a separate idea, something we thought would live outside the network. But keeping it within Aquarel felt more honest. We don't exist in isolation; we flow alongside other communities, influences gently bleeding into one another.

Each listing includes a small note, just enough to capture a clique’s tone, focus, or creative texture. Inspired in part by the thoughtful presentation style of Cloudplane, the directory isn't just a list of links. It's a wash of shared affinities, layered carefully so visitors can glimpse the feeling of a space before stepping into it.

We invite you to wander through it. And if there's a clique you adore, or one you believe deserves a place in this growing canvas, please share it with us. Let the colors continue to blend.
