Greetings, you've reached Disclosure, an update log for Aelysia.net, Cradle of the Astralspire Network.
As any long-term project, I try to keep a record of the activity and main changes done on this domain. To fulfill this purpose, this update
log is to keep track of announcements and general updates. Please be mindful that as you progress further back to the older entries, some
links you'll come across may be outdated and inaccessible.
Posted on 25 Feb '23 filed under Memento, New, Revamp The credits directory, Memento, now features a completely redesigned layout. While the update was completed some time ago, I had not yet announced it. The overhaul was long overdue, as the previous version had become cluttered with outdated layouts and archival sites. If you encounter any display issues while using different browsers, please let me know so that I can address them promptly.
Meanwhile, Cloudplane has undergone several content updates. The site’s rules have been revised, the form has been updated, and collective sites have been added or removed as necessary. Over the past two days, I also refined the CSS to better align with my vision, as I was not entirely satisfied with the original styling. Inspiration does not come as readily as it once did, and my available time for website work has been limited, which is reflected in the current layout.
Additionally, I replaced the link buttons with new designs sourced from my collective domain, as the previous buttons were outdated and aesthetically lacking.
On a personal note, I am currently in my final undergraduate semester. The combined demands of coursework and planning for the future have been challenging. While I cannot guarantee consistent updates, please rest assured that none of my websites have been neglected.
Posted on 29 Nov '22 filed under Disclosure, New After approximately a year of utilizing WordPress, I have decided to discontinue its use due to the excessive features and functionalities that were not being utilized, rendering the platform inefficient for my needs. In response, I have developed a lightweight, custom news script specifically designed to streamline updates and blogging. I am pleased to introduce Disclosure v1.0.0, named in reference to my update log.
At this stage, Disclosure remains in beta mode, and there are no plans to release it publicly. The script is currently a standalone platform, built with PHP/MySQL and operated exclusively by the administrator. Future updates will include additional features, but for now, it provides a robust framework for managing updates and entries efficiently.
Highlights:
- Fully supports PHP 7.x & MySQL 5.x
- Customizable header/footer and admin panel
- Search and archive functionality by month/year
- Add, edit, delete entries with Markdown & HTML support
- SEO-friendly categories with entry counts
- Advanced pagination with first/last page navigation
This beta version is currently private, focused on providing a streamlined, efficient update/blogging system without unnecessary features.
Posted on 06 Mar '22 filed under Miscellaneous I have recently updated my contact form with a new layout designed to function consistently across all modern browsers. In revising the layout, I have opted for a simplified approach, focusing on usability and clarity. Attempts to incorporate additional subpages were ultimately set aside, as they did not align with the overall design vision.
On a separate note, Lost Ark recently launched on Steam in Western regions, following its established presence in Korea. The release has generated considerable enthusiasm within the gaming community, with players striving to achieve the highest levels of proficiency in this popular title.
Posted on 14 Jan '22 filed under Aelysia.net, New Another happy New Year to everyone. It has been a considerable amount of time since my last update, but the sites have not been neglected. While I have multiple in-progress projects alongside academic responsibilities, managing both has become increasingly challenging. For this update, I am unveiling the most significant project first: the revival of my main collective, Aelysia.net.
I have devoted significant effort to redesigning the site after browsing through various sources of inspiration. You may notice that the site appears different from previous iterations, particularly if you were familiar with it before its hiatus. Some of the earlier designs were experimental, such as the layout for the contact page, which required several days of coding. While the current design does not fully match my original vision, it is satisfactory for the time being. Future tweaks will refine the coding and improve the arrangement of content.
Other sections of the site have been extensively revised, either to update outdated information or to enhance the clarity and grammar of the text. It is remarkable that more than five years have passed since the site’s indefinite hiatus. Time appears to move rapidly, especially during college, and each year seems to pass even more quickly than the last.
Posted on 11 Aug '21 filed under Miscellaneous, Updates Over the past few months, I have undertaken minor tweaks and additions across the network. While some changes may appear unnoticeable, each update contributes significantly to the overall functionality and presentation.
- Refined and optimized backend coding throughout the network, including fanlistings
- Reworded content and corrected grammatical errors
- Added additional fanlisting codes
That concludes the updates for now. I have prepared a new layout for my contact form that will be implemented in due course. Additionally, there is another upcoming project that will be shared in a future update. Following these, I intend to focus primarily on maintaining and enhancing the sites that are currently active rather than creating new ones.
